Inner Wisdom: The Good News

Inner Wisdom

The good news you may not know.

You are far greater than you’ve been allowed to believe.  Like Harry Potter, or the Ugly Duckling, you’ve been convinced you are ordinary.  In fact there might even be something lacking.  Perhaps in your heart you cherished a hope you might be special and that someone would recognize it some day.

I grew up in a middle class home with both positives and problems.  Deep down I always suspected I might be magic or a princess changeling.  My grandma and grade school convinced me I was pretty standard.  Teenage chaos seriously challenged notions that I could be special, though I still clung to the hope that I was perhaps a wizard or a swan.  My university experience put the kibosch on all such twinklings of hope and convinced me I wasn’t even very smart.

It’s no wonder I became a personal development junkie.  I know I could manifest my dream house if I had only half the money I spent on self improvement.   Some development has indeed been very worthwhile.  Yet I still find evidence that I’m a muggle trying to do magic.  An impostor!

So, when I say I help people find their superpowers, and use their magic, is it just hyperbole?   No.  The magic is really there.  The muggle is there, too.

We spend a lot of effort trying to vanquish unhealthy patterns, lousy beliefs, results of childhood traumas, so we can create.   It’s nice to shake off that stuff and experience healthy growth.  But it doesn’t automatically access your magic.

Your magic is already within, but where it is and how to find it is not obvious.  Be assured, you have a magic genius part of your consciousness.  It knows all, sees all, has universal connections and amazing powers of creation.  As far as I’m concerned, it is the divine within.  That’s why it’s the good news.   It is not usually in conscious awareness, and it isn’t always easily distinguished from other unconscious stuff, so you can easily underestimate your superpowers.

The magic consciousness works differently than the intellect.  It seems irrational and illogical but comes up with elegant solutions and amazing creations.  If you learn to use your magic intuition, you start to see it in operation.  If you meditate regularly, you start to see your magic intuition in the ideas which pop up after quiet time.

A magical mentor or spiritual director may give  you hints about  accessing the divine within.  But you can open the door to your intuitive magic with a few simple actions.

I recommend a practice of meditation.  The requirement is only 10 minutes or more a day of being quiet.  Quieting the intellect for just a bit allows other parts of your consciousness to be perceived.  You’ll notice something new; hear a whisper of a different sort of idea.  Unusual feelings surface.

Center yourself for quiet time.  Bring attention to your heart.  It helps to put your hand on your heart and imagine you breathe through it.  Center yourself at other times, too.

he fire extinguisher.  If all seems well, breathe and re center.

Become familiar with the shift in your perceptions.  The shift is generally pleasant and brings subtle intuitive stuff to consciousness.  Some of this stuff is magic.  Some of it is just stuff, so question any bad news.  If there’s no real immediate evidence of a fire breathing dragon, take a breath and put away t

These simple behavior changes seem too small to matter, but within a few weeks, you’ll see the difference.  You will see evidence of your magic intuition.
